Life
Happily retired from AAA (also enjoyed 11 yrs with AT&T) with husband John (SAHS '56) near Orlando, Florida. We have been married 53 yrs this December 2014 (Georgann Watts worked at Beckman Instruments in Fullerton with John and set us up on a blind date in 1961), lived in Scotland, Calif, New Mexico, Iowa and the last 38 yrs in Florida. Blessed with two sons, wonderful daughters-in-law and six super and very interesting grandchildren (all in Fl).
Live an outdoor life on 5 wooded acres, love working out at the local YMCA where I have been a member for 19 years. I was on the Y all female triathlon team, participating in my 3rd Lady Danskin Triathlon at Disney World in 2007 with my 14 yr old granddaughter joining her mom and grandmother as a 3 member generational team. anskin again in 2008. I have gone full cirlce at the YMCA as I was active in the Y in high school and as a counselor for a high school club while I was attending FJC. I try to act younger than my chronological age to confuse people!
I frequently see and correspond with my "sisters" Mary Lou Watkins, Georgann Watts, Joan Light and Karen Marolf (Larry's wife). My husband and I vist Karen and Larry every January in Panama City Beach, FL where they vacation for 2 months to get away from the winters in Illinois.
I don't get out to CA as often as I would like-I need to move a bit closer! CA is still where my roots are even tho I have not lived there for so long. There are so many beautiful places but I do enjoy all of the things which FL has to offer, some of that being wide open spaces!
