Anne's Story
I signed on to this site ages ago when it first started. They lost me with all the changes computer geeks make. In any case here I am again. Hello Everyone - I remember just about all of you. I may have been shy and quiet, but I stashed away those memories.
Got married not long after graduation and started my family, three children, two boys and a girl. We are still very close even though they are grown and have moved on with their own lives. Five Grands call me Granma Anne and four Great-grands are out there.
The marriage took me to San Diego, Texas, Tennessee, Lemoore and finally to Santee where we bought a home. That lasted a few more years when the marriage took a death plunge and I ended up in Castro Valley for a few years. Eventually, my family moved to upstate New York and I now live in the country...Expand for more
side just south of the state Capital, Albany. Small town next door to OK - that's Old Kinderhook for those of you who don't know - it is where the OK phrase came from.
I spent 26 years in the Human Resources field. Lucky me, I did the hiring and in some cases firing, handled benefits, insurance and all those things you get along with your paycheck. Now retired, like most of us, and enjoying every minute of it. I've written about ten books, none published but parts of some have been in print in various venues. So that sort of makes me an author...I like to think so anyway - don't burst my bubble!
Would like to hear from any of you who remember me and think fondly of those days that we thought were full of angst, but really were full of our youth and enthusiasm for the future.
