Annette's Story
After Pius X went to CSULB eventually getting credentials in K12 elementary education and specialist credential in moderate /severe. I took a position working in Torrance working on segregated campus for roughly a year and a half, this particular I had previously driven a school bus there full of students. I even spent a summer as an instructional assistant and bus driver there! I definitely stretched my wings there. Next, I took a position then made me the only mod/sev class on a middle school campus! id I love my students! So for the next 31 years, this is where I stayed working with students who often promoted and took a piece of my heart with them. Well at the end of last year the district in an effort to keep in the doors open offered the teachers with longevity a nice option to leave and as I only had one year left before I could retire anyway I took it. So no longer am I up at 5 AM and at work at 6:30 and not home for another 12 hours I get to sleep in. I get to eat lunch and not in 20 minutes! Now I just have to decide what my next chapter will be. I get to focus on me.
