Annette's Story
Life
I'm fortunate to have attended both Tolman and Shea High. I made many friends who I still think about to this day. After graduation in 1984 (Shea High), I moved to Maryland. I just loved the area. There was so much to do and see. I started to work for the U.S. Navy in June 1985 in the Account payable department. I stayed in Maryland for 3 years and 10 months. I made a few friends who have touch my heart for a lifetime. I quit my job and moved back to Rhode Island in April 1988. During the summer of 1988 I worked varies jobs. I was trying to find something I like. I was working at a Electrical wholesales organization in the Accounts payable. During this time the organization was doing business with the navy. I contact Human Resources and found there was an opening in Acct. Payables. I started working for the Navy again Sept 6, 1988. In 1990 I started a new job with the Navy in the Office of Counsel Office (Patents). I finally found I job I liked. I have been with this office for nearly 20 years. I'm a legal Assistant/Paralegal. Also in 1990 I got married. I have no children. Then in 1996 I was divorce. Starting over wasn't very easy for me. Dating never came easy. Then in 1997 I meet my current boyfriend (Andy). That was the same year I was doing alot of personal growth. We loved hiking, so planned a trip to the Grand canyon. We hiked one day down and two days up. I barely make it out alive (it wasn't funny at the time) but it is today and I'm very proud of myself for doing. Andy also works at the Navy base. He is a scientist. Andy travels alot, so we have been to some cool places ( I think they are cool).Andy and I have bought a new home in Island Park. Island Park is located in Portsmouth, RI. We owned a house in Newport. Andy and I really like the quiteness of life. We have 5 furry children (boots-18, Sam-12, Yellow-12, Taz-5 and Mittens...Expand for more

In 1995 Andy and I volunteered to work with an organization called "PAWSWATCH". The organization helps feral and abandon cats. It would be so wonderful to hear from old friends. Please contact me soon. Take care and God Bless

BIOGRAPHY OF ANNETTE M. CAMPBELL
Ms. Annette M. Campbell serves as Legal Assistant for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport Division. Ms. Campbell received her appointment with the Patent Counsel position on 26 August 1990. In Ms. CampbellÂs position, here responsibilities are to assist the attorneys with prosecution of Patent Applications to the United States and Trademark Office. The patent applications are prepared to reflect the inventions of the engineers and scientists of the Center in Newport, Rhode Island.
Prior to her appointment Ms. Campbell was a Procurement Clerk in the Supply Department at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (Carderock) in Bethesda, MD. Ms Campbell transferred to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Supply Department in 1988 as a Supply Clerk.
Ms. Campbell is taken Paralegal Studies at the Community College of Rhode Island and involved in another program for certification for being a Patent Paralegal. In addition to her studies Ms. Campbell has volunteered in may activities at the Center, including: Bring your Child to Work Day, Chairperson for the Employee Equality Day, Christmas Family Committee, Clean up Beach Day and various other events.
Ms. Campbell is currently involved with Pawswatch that helps feral and stray cats. One of the functions that Ms. Campbell gets involved with is any event that is cat related.
Ms. Campbell is currently working on a new craft project that includes working with beads for jewelry making.
Ms. Campbell lives with her boyfriend in Portsmouth, RI. She has 5 cats (Boots, Taz, Sammy, YK2 and Ms. Mittens.)
