Annette's Story
Hard to believe 30 years have past since high school graduation. It certainly does not feel like 30 years. I certainly don't feel any older (or act any older). Where do I start - well I graduated and married my high school sweetheart Chris Mueller. We were married for almost 7 years - what a wonderful man he is. I then stayed 'single' trying to find that perfect match - well, 17 years later, LOL, I got married again. Edward is also a Travis High School alumni - a few years younger than I. We are different in so many ways, yet, our common priorities include our family and our dogs!! He's a little bit country and I was a bit rock-n-roll. He was a bit roudy and I was the nerdy bookworm. Although we don't have any children, our dogs are our children, and we manage to mesh our differences together and make it work. We've been married almost 5 years now. I have been working for the State of Texas for almost 21 years now, with a prior care...Expand for more
er with the IRS (for 11 years). When I add all that up, I begin to realize how OLD I really am. Hey, well for almost 50, I have a youthful spirit - I got feathers put in my hair today - LOL - I want to learn to ride a motorcycle, and I want a tattoo. After all these years, I am beginning to find out that the simple things are what brings a smile to my face. I am still quiet and easy-going - I only get an attitude if you continue to push my buttons (which is hard to do). I hope everyone is in good health. I remember in high school I couldn't wait to get out - to get on with my life - now I find myself sometimes drifting backwards in time remembering when things were really good. I don't really bump into anyone from Travis these days, although the other day during my lunch hour, I could have sworn I bumped into Ralph Riojas at a Walgreens - he didn't seem to recognize me, but I do believe that was him.
