Annie's Story
Incredible Journey
After graduating from Our Lady of Guadalupe, in 1978, I went to Sacred Heart of Mary High School. After my 1982 graduation, I worked in an all woman law firm. The lawyers encouraged me to go back to school. I graduated with an AA from East Los Angeles College in 1986 and then transferred to USC (FIGHT ON!). I graduated in 1989. I got married in 1990, moved to the Angelope Valley, and went to work for the Superior Court in Lancaster. Los Angeles Municipal Court in Van Nuys. After the birth of my daughter in 1999, I found that being gone for so many hours each day made me very sad. I quit the court system, got my multiple subject and single subject (English) teaching credentials with a bilingual certification and for the past 13 years have taught both junior high and high school English, ELD, and Social Studies. I have been married for 22 years and have two beautiful daughters aged 13 and 9! You can also find me on Facebook--Annie Paliza--as I rarely check this site anymore! :(
