Annie's Story
Hi San Mateo! I really don't know what to write here. I have such a thrilling life....
I have been married for 23 years, sometimes just barely. I have three boys, ages 20, 17 and 12. I work as an aid in a special ed classroom at a middle school. In Tracy, CA.
After high school I worked full time and lived the zany life. My husband and I met when I was 24 and married the next year. He was a full time student and I worked two jobs. I feel like I have done every form of work that can be done without a college education. When our first boy was 2 I started a home day care business, which lasted for 7 years. After that I was a stay at home mom. I was a yard duty for about 7 years at my kids' school, which was a thrill...on opposite day! Now I work in a classroom, which I really enjoy. ly ADHD and have learning challanges.
My oldest son is working and going to school, as well as playing in a hardcore/punk band. He is a drummer. The middle child is very much the middle child! He plays cello and violin. His grades are horrible, but he is very intelligent. Typical teen, he thinks we don't like him. This, too, shall pass....God willing. The youngest is the golden child. He is intelligent and organized. He plays drums and guitar for pleasure. He has mild Tourette Syndrome and OCD. Straight A's, always showered and his room is always clean. I know! Give me five like that any time.
I spend a lot of my time at A.A. meetings. I have 13 months of sobriety as of June 2009! I was sober for a long time before but decided to try drinking again....I found out that alcoholism does not get cured.
