Anthony's Story
Hi,
My name is Anthony Korey. To my friends and most people I'm known as "Tony". I retired after thirty-two years of service from the Fulton County Police Department. I was the Director of Police Training for Fulton County, which encompasses the City of Atlanta, Gedorgia. I retired at the rank of Deputy Chief of Police.
I presently live in Kennesaw, Georgia; and I am a full-time Criminal Justice Instructor at a local college in the Metropolitan Atlanta area. Once I retired, my wife advised me that she would not be able to live with me twenty-four hours a day. In fact, she said that the only reason our marriage lasted as long as it did was basically because I was "away a lot" I have a beautiful wife (Barbara); and we will celebrate our 48th anniversary in August of 2014. I also have two very precious children (Scott and Kelly). My children have given me the most precious of all gifts, which are three adorable, loving, and spoiled Grandchildren. I, of course, am the person who spoils them.
My wife and I are very active at Roswell Street Baptist Church; where i presengtly serve as a deacon and recently served as the Chairman of the Deacons. I have also taught Sunday School to both the First and Ninth Graders. I attended Georgia State University. I was awarded both my Bachelor's (English) and Master's (Criminal Justice) by Georgia State University. ...Expand for more
I continued with GSU and earned 45 hours of Post Graduate Studies in Public Administration. I was honored in 1994 and named as "Distinguished Alumni" by the Criminal Justice Department of Georgia State University.
I graduated from Paxon Senior High School in 1961. I was at Paxon for only my senior year. I attended Augustinian Academy, Staten island, New York, for my Freshman, Sophomore, and Junior years; from 1957 until 1960. Augustinian Academy was the seminary where young men studied to become Catholic Priests, which had been my hope.
In October of this year I completed my very first novel;m and it was published in November. The novel, which is titled "THE SEMINARIAN", can be found at Amazon.com; as well as, Barnes and Nobel eBook for the Nook; Createspace.com; Smashwords.com.; It is in both paperback and eBook format. It can also be found at Sony.com eBooks. It is best to type my name (Anthony Korey) and the titlle (The Seminarian) in the Search tab in order to quickly find my novel.
I am also proud to be a veteran; having served in the Vietnam war. I was awarded two Bronze Stars, while I was in the military; as well as, the Vietnam Service Medal. Inspite of the fact that I attended Paxon Senior High School for my Senilor year, it still remains as one of my most memorable times.
May God Bless each and everyone of you,
Anthony (Tony) Korey .
