Layed off so I have to retire
I always wanted to be a musician when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a really stupid idea. As it turns out, they were right.
But I became one anyway. The draft sent me to Vietnam where I continued to be a musician. Best war I ever attended. Upon my return I had no job so education was the only way to get money. When I graduated to become a teacher I decided to become a musician again so back on the road. Actually toured Alaska for 1 year 1985.
Third wife wanted to settle down so back to school in 92 to become a more educated teacher. Actually went to work at a school. Found out I can't stand any other children but my own and I have doubts about them. Tried Karaoke for a sideline. lol It is almost like being a musician. Decided to go to Russia and find a younger wife as midlife crisis reared its head. Third wife took everything I had. Her father was rich too. Oh well no one ever ...Expand for more
said musicians were intelligent. Decided I needed another pet so sired 5th son. Father and mother became ill so took off to care for them. Musicians have warm hearts. 8 years later they are still alive so my care taking skills are working out. Tried several years with the airlines but just layed off as one of the younger new hires did not latch the cargo door and it fell on my head. Fortunately I still have lots of hair to cushion the blow but company does not like the idea of older people having long hair. Something about liability I believe. So they keep the young inexperienced employee and lay off the older stupid employee as younger employees can withstand cargo door impacts better than the older heads I suppose. Now waiting for social security to arrive and waiting for huge legal settlement for injury. Should be in the neighborhood of 5k which will provide beer money during the wait for medicare to kick in. Grandsons win little league world series and are drafted by the Cardinals and Braves. Become millionaires at 18. Their father keeps all the money. Waiting patiently and praying they advance to the major leagues so that they will become multi millionaires and father will not be able to spend all their money so some will overflow downhill to grandfather. Well at least I get free tickets to the games. And every now and then they let me have a baseball card. Life is sweet
