Anthony's Story
Completed Bachelor Degree from Kean college in 1978x
Enlisted in the Navy in July 1978 and completed basic training at the Recruit Training Center, Orlando, Florida.
His enlisted duty stations include, Naval Training Center Great Lakes, Illinois, Lowry Air Force Base, Denver, Colorado and the Naval Communications Station Mediterranean, Naples, Italy.
Commander Ruggiero was commissioned an Ensign in May 1982. Upon completion of Supply Corps Basic Qualification course at Athens, Georgia in December 1982, he was assigned as the Sales/Disbursing Officer on USS EMORY S. LAND (AS-39) until June 1985. From July 1985 to November 1986, he served as Supply Officer of the Naval Air Reserve, Norfolk, Virginia. From November 1987 to May 1990, he served as the Supply Officer of the USS MOINESTER (FF-1097), qualifying as a Supply Corps Surface Warfare Officer. From June 1990 to May 1994, he served as the Supply Officer for SEAL Delivery Vehicle Team Two in Virginia Beach, Virginia. From June 1994 to June 1996...Expand for more
, he served as the Assistant Director Financial Management and Logistics, Personnel Management and Administration, New Orleans, Louisiana. From June 1996 to June 1999, he served as the Director of Business Operations, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Cheatham Annex, Williamsburg, Virginia. His last assignment was as Course Director for the Joint Course on Logistics at the Army Logistics Management College, Fort Lee, Virginia. He retired on October 1st, 2001 after completing 24 years of military service.
Returned to college at Old Dominion University in Virginia and completed his masters degree in English in 2003.
Taught English in Virginia at Tidewater Community College, Saint Leo University and Old Dominion University . Moved to Colorado in 2015 and taught at Pikes Peak Community College and Colorado State University. Retired in 2022.
Tony has published numerous short stories and several books in the science fiction, horror, and suspense genres.
Currently resides in Peyton, Colorado
