Anthony's Story
After high school, I worked a couple of places my dad's scrap yard & bounced a round, I knew I was not going to college, so I joined the Marine Corps in January of 1960, went to Parris Island, S.C. for training. Finished my training stayed at Parris Island and went thru Disbursing Classes sin...Expand for more
ce that's what the Marine Corp thought was best for me. After my training I got a ship named the USS Desota and headed to Gitmo Bay. The ship stayed there for about a month and then set off on what I called a pleasure cruise, we went to Greece, Italy, Spain, and a couple places I don't recall
