Anthony's Story
I am retired and have resided in Lafayette for 32 years with my wife, Darla. I have 2 sons, who are 29 and 43 years old (2 grandkids). Since time is running out, we have been focused on traveling the world and have a long bucket list. I am trying to stay fit and should log 30 days of snow skiing this year in North Tahoe. My wife and I also like to kayak, wine taste, hike, snow shoe, attend music venues, Giant's games and generally enjoy the Bay Area.
I have stayed in touch with Stephen (Steve) Sternat and occasionally see Nick Tucci who lives in Lafayette. Perani. I lived in Mission beach while attending San Diego State and after college, i spent 7 months hitch-hiking in Europe and then moved to Tahoe and skied 95 days.
I moved back to Cupertino and got into the Consumer Electronics business with Microma (digital watches) and then sales management with National Semiiconductor, Casio, Southwestern Bell, Braun, and Beltronics. Later, I became an independent manufacturer's rep and represented numerous factories to the retail trade. Then, my partner and I became distributors for a robotic toy line, and later started manufacturing digital photo frames (Pandigital) in China. We sold to most of the retailers in the U.S. and then, I sold my shares in the company about 8 years ago. I feel very lucky to have gotten out of this transitional product business before the market declined.
