My Pets
I'm actually 'between pets' at the moment, but for years I've kept various numbers of large lizards, mostly monitors and iguanas. As I began to travel more, I had to get rid of most of them. Why is it so difficult to find someone willing to babysit a 3 foot long meat-eating lizard? :-) Update 11/24/14: Still no pets unless houseplants count. Would be happy with a cat though.
My Job
I'm currently Data Center Manager for the Office of Information Technology at North Carolina State University. We provide the bulk of all campus-wide computing services for the University, and my job is overseeing the day-to-day operations of our 2 main data centers. My job is interesting and sometimes challenging, but what I like most is working in a college environment. Have got my time in and am eligible for full retirement but still hanging around because I'm too lazy to do the...Expand for more

My Life
Hang out with friends. Do fun things. Have visited abroad a few times. Nothing special. Stay away from politics and religion and places where it snows deeper than I am tall.
Hobbies
I fly hang gliders and ultralight airplanes, camp, hash (thanks to Susan), and sometimes still play basketball. Update 11/24/14: Gave up the ultralight flying ages ago due to lack of time but will still get in a hang glider every few years. Still camp and hash but am currently into kayaking (flatwater). Gave up basketball a LONG time ago but still miss it and hate that I break too easily to play anymore. Taken a few turns around racetracks in sports cars. Like going to live music concerts, including flying to Ireland once just to see U2 play at Croke Park (and have a Guinness). Follow hockey most closely now. Play Mahjong on my iPhone. Watch cartoons. Bowl.
