Antonia's Story
We live in the San Gabriel Valley since 1973; got married (34) years ago (in Italy); I have 4 children & 1 grandaughter, 4yrs. old. I work as a cosmetologist (hairdresser) in a Retirement Hotel for the last 28 yrs. I enjoy laughing, telling jokes, playing jokes on people, playing cards, a & the SLOTS!!! :)x > I enjoy making people happy/ making them feel and look beautiful. I really think that is my calling in life. I deal with the "older folks" (so I need to have a LOT of patience) But, let me tell you, after 28 years, I think I'm slowly losing it!!:[>
I've always befriended the 'underdog' or the ones that were too shy to make friends. I tried to be their friend. ( I think I succeeded?)

r seeing him waving his white handkerchief 'good-bye' + me crying hysterically, and didn't want to leave the port, whereby my mother and sister had to hand in hand carry me away, balling wildly all the way home. We joined him almost a year later. He wore a mustache ('Clark Gable' style)which I loved. When I found out that he had shaved it off, I threatened to NOT kiss him when we reunited, if he didn't grow it back..He did of course, but it hadn't fully grown in, but, I gave in, hugged and nearly kissed him to death. I loved my father SO much!..It was reciprocal.
My first friend was Kathy Aquino,in 2d gr. My dress was unhooked at the back of my neck, she being behind me, fastened it for me.We were best friends till the 4th gr.when she moved away to Torrance.
