Antonia's Story
Life
I was born and raised in Albuquerque and surprisingly, I still live here. I was shy and geeky in school, and sort of eccentric. I'm still kind of geeky and eccentric, but I’ve mostly overcome the shyness.
I’m divorced and have a 45-year-old son (a VFX artist) who lives in Portland with my 6-year-old grandson.
I also have furry kids; a Cardigan Welsh Corgi (he’s learning to herd sheep and does agility), 2 yellow tabbies, and a horse.
I've done a variety of jobs including writing and illustrating children's books, (two published by Random House- Two Fi...Expand for more
ne Ladies Have a Tiff and Two Fine Ladies Tea For Three.) I also did some of the illustrations for When You Ride Alone, You Ride With Bin Laden by Bill Maher, illustrated 4 coloring books for St. Martin’s Press, and wrote a YA book, 1348: The End of the World. I’ve been a senior technical writer at Sandia Labs since 2013.
I’m a full-time caregiver for my 97-year-old mom.
In my "spare time" I perform in local theatre. I've performed with ACLOA/MTS, ALT, The Vortex and the Adobe. I've mostly done musicals, but I've done a few dramas too and they're fun.
