April's Story
Life
My life has been an interesting one. I am happily married and have moved to sunny Florida. No, I am not married to a NY'er but married to a wonderful southerner. We have been married since 2003 and have two beautiful daughters. I currently work for a major insurance carrier. Yes, I have a dog. A wonderful bichon frise whom I have had for over 9yrs. If dogs could talk he would have some interesting things to tell you.
I would say I never imagined I would be as happy as I am now. I had some rough patches along the way but it was worth the journey. I learned valuable life lessons and look forward to the future. I own my own home and my husband works in the trucking industry and my carreer is going well. I drive a luxury suv and continue to enjoy scrapbooking in my free time.
School
The teacher that inspired me the most was Ms. Glazewski, my math teacher. She went the extra mile to be sure I understood what was required and motivated me to learn. I will never forget her encouragement....Expand for more
Thanks Ms. Glazewski for all your hard work, I will never forget you. If I could do it all over again, I would. Education is a must. My happiest memory at the High School was African Dance. This activity was my outlet for creativity. My mom has this famous saying I will remember always, "and if you think education is expensive...Ignorance costs more!"
College
I went to Rutgers University. That was the best time in my life. It was a surprise to my guidance counselor I was accepted and even today in my current career people still are amazed I am a Rutgers graduate. My college days were wonderful as I continued to learn and explore my creativity. If I could do it all over again I would have only picked a different major - despite that, Rutgers was definitely the right place for me.
Workplace
I went from flipping burgers at McDonald's to retail sales person at a department store that no longer exists to finding the right career at an insurance carrier. I have been with my employer for 15yrs.
