April's Story
I always wanted to be a "flight attendant", but somehow ended up in nursing school. After working in Johnstown a few years I became restless & joined the Air Force as a nurse - BEST decision I ever made!! It allowed me to travel to some places I could only dream of ever seeing; meet wonderful people & develop some very special friendships. It was also where I met my husband-we married in 1978,& had our son Austin in 1987.

recently started a Parish Nurse Ministry at my church which focuses on Health Promotion of Body, Mind, & Spirit; and left 20 years of hospice nursing to start my own Wellness business, which I'm hoping will keep me busy in my "retirement years"& allow me to go on more mission trips. My 22 year old son Austin is the absolute joy of my life. I am very thankful to have had all the opportunities, challenges, and experiences life has offered over the years, and that I am enjoying excellent health.
