April's Story

Life well i just graduated from eastern a few months ago and im working in clinton as a reporter for a small newspaper. (its near bloomington and decatur) the big girl world isnt too shabby, but im always looking for something bigger. the city has been calling my name for too long and im ready to grab it! School well i was pretty boy crazy, but ill admit to jake jackson early in h.s. and jeremy carlson later. they are both my friends now and im pretty sure they knew about it when we were in school. teacher, probably mrs. latham. she was always truthful and gave constructive critisim when u needed it most. would i do it again? im not really sure. i was a different person then, but i had a great time. i guess its a toss up. College wow...eastern was way too much fun! there are too many memories to put down here, but i had the time of my life. i went to kcc first but when i made my way to charlesto...Expand for more
n i quickly wished i could have been there all 4 years. i made great friends, had great times and miss it greatly! (wow-cheesy!) Workplace started at hardees in bourbonnais, then went to festival foods for 4 1/2 years until the store closed (pretty sad actually) then went to the military, to eastern and worked for the school newspaper both years and had an internship in oregon last summer. now im a reporter. Military basic training-wow. i was 19 and one of the oldest in my company. i quickly realized the age difference between 17 and 19. this is going to sound cheesy, but i really figured out who i was. i was scared of a lot of things in life and realized once i got thru basic and advanced individual training i could do just about anything. even tho i am in the national guard, i consider myself a soldier every day. (cheesy i know!) and i still think about going active someday. u just never know...
