Arden's Story
I've had a number of adventures in life so far. After graduating from Jackson in 1964, I went to Miami Dade and worked in motorcycle shops. ama City, FL, where I worked for 17 years. While I was there I earned a Ph.D. in early American literature from FSU. Now, I am an associate professor of English at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. I also teach Japanese language and culture. Denise and I have four children and one grandchild. We have been married for 33 years. I still ride motorcycles--I have a 1978 Yamaha SR500 and can still leave the young guys in the dust when we go riding in the mountains--as long as they are riding cruisers or Harleys. I have gone back to Japan for the past two summers on grants and hope to take a group of students during Christmas vacation in 2010. I'd love to hear from anyone who remembers me from those many years ago.
