Ariane's Story
Update Jan. 6, 2009:
After living the big city life for many years Gary and I wanted to start a family. The doctors said 'no way' it will never happen. At that point we desided that the stress of being in the big city was taking a toll, so we have moved back to Idaho. That was the best thing we have ever done. After trying for 5 years to have a baby and being back in Idaho for only three months, the ultrasound proved the Georgia doctors wrong and 9 months later little Russell Edward Heath was born. What a blessing. After working for the better part of my adult life my husband and I desided that I should stay home and raise Russell. I am a stay at home mom and Gary is the Events Manager for the Idaho Horse Park at the Idaho Center in Nampa. We live a modest life ... knowing that quality is better than quanity. I wish everyone that reads the best in life with many blessings.
After high school I left Pocatello and headed for the Sawtooth Mountains. I spent close to 10 years living in Sun Valley, Idaho. Had a blast!! I landed a great job working for Smith Sport Optics in the motocross division. Trade shows and traveling around the world for the company was awesome! While living in Sun Valley I improved my rock climbing, learned how to competitively race down hill ski and even helped make a movie. In 1999 I was feeling like I hit a plateau or glass ceiling some might say and needed a change. I packed up and moved to Boise. The change of environment was exactly what I needed. Rocky Mountain Fitness and Rec. Center in Eagle and contributed much to the newly opened fitness center. While working at the fitness center I was influenced by many people in the fitness and body building world and decided to give body building a try! I trained hard and got my diet down to a science. I competed in my first competition and won. I walked away with the 2000 Ms. Idaho Natural Bodybuilding Championship. I entered three that year and did very well. While working at RMF&RC I meet my husband, Gary Heath. We enjoyed each other so much weÂve been together ever since.
Gary and I needed a little more challenge in careers and had an offer to be partners in a start up business. We moved to Las Vegas, NV, here corporations do very well. Then our senior partner wanted us to give Atlanta, GA a shot. The east coast worked better for the senior partner, so off we went. Gary and I love the change. Instead of mountains weÂve got ocean. I loved it so much. The big city life was just that, big. Gary has one son, Hamilton from a previous marriage who came to visit every summer. I wish he could stay all year, maybe someday.We finally decided to move out of the big house scene and into a high rise condo. We lived on the 37 floor in the Paramount at Buckhead and loved it. No more yard work, no more cleaning the pool, no more expensive maintenance on a house. It was all done for us. I have two cats that live with us, Buck and Bennie. We have had some really great times.
