Aric's Story
Hello all, I hope this finds you blessed beyond belief and wanting for nothing. I married my first love, Candi when I was 20 (not that there weren't a few great crushes here and there!). We have two kids, Matthew 12 and Isabel 9. Matthew is a huge kid and is very athletic. He is 5' 6" 150lbs with size 13 men's shoe. He is being scouted by the power teams for baseball and swims like a fish. We were lucky enough to be able to see the olympic trials in Omaha and got to see Phelps, which got Matt excited about swimming again. He's been swimming for 6 years and has many medals and ribbons. ( I think it's the flippers attached to his legs. Isabel is more like her mom, short and cute. Isabel also swims like a fish and is a little beast in the water. She is way more competative that her brother and is in many different sports and activities. ( tennis, swimming, dance, and loves to read...Expand for more
.) Isabel was chosen to be on the cover of the annual report for Boys Town and The magazine went all over the country and a to couple of continents. We couldn't be more content with where the lord has led us in this life. We work for a guys "town"(not allowed to use real name) in Nebraska and we love it. We have been "Family Teachers" for over 7 years and have had over 50 teenage boys live with us in that time. Our job is to raise these boys and make them men. Not an easy job considering they usually only stay with us for 18-24 months. It is hard to undo in that short time what took years to create. Now, I can hear some of you talking to your monitor, wondering how in the H*** I got this job in the first place considering I was a huge slacker in school, but as you know... People change.
