Workplace
Well after a career as a secretary/administrative assistant, I retired in 1999. Started work with USGS in Red Bluff right out of high school then moved to Redding working for Shasta Flight Service part time (wow exciting being around the airport) then got serious and began working for Clair Hill & Associates an engineering company now called CH2M Hill, on to Shasta College as EOPS Coordinator then back to engineering, Ott Water Engineers where I ended up in...Expand for more
Anchorage, AK. Soon switched to mining exploration company, Cominco Alaska, got to travel to Brooks Range-Red Dog Mine discovery, now a big production plant. Finally, back to California settling in Red Bluff with Quality Circles Institute for pennies, then big break through to City of Redding as police dispatcher, lasted about 7 months and got promoted to Secretary to Chief of Police, for 12 years, what a roller coaster. Then retired and returned to college in Chico.
