Arlene's Story
Life
After graduation, I worked at Illinois Power and I also taught baton lessons. I married and had a daughter Marilyn. I went to work for the government and worked at the GC Army Depot and later U.S.Army Aviation Systems Command from where I retired as Chief of the Materiel Distribution Management Branch. veling and a few headaches. My teaching baton career lasted 17 years and I loved every minute of it. Taught locally but also had students I visited monthly in Iowa, Kansas and held clinics throughout US. I was also a National Judge and judged State contests as well as the NY Worlds Fair. I retired in 1998 and actually miss working ''at times".
