Arlene's Story
As most of my classmates know I married in April of 1975, I was then know as Arlene MacDonald Rider. In Aug 77, I had my son and only child. After 10 years I divorced my husband while in Texas and move to New York to be with family. There is where I met my husband Mike. In the past 24 years we have moved 12 times, 5 of the moves were military moves, and 7 of the moves were due to my job. My son is currently getting ready to deploy, he ships out any day now to Iraq. till military but went from active to NG and as for me well a month ago I was lucky enough to retire and to be able to plant my feet in PA for a few years, at least until husband retires. Its funny I retired from the company I starting working for at Fort Greely Alaska, AAFES. Back then never in my wildness dream did I think my after school job would lead to a career. I never got to go back to Alaska but I have never forgotten how much fun we had and how beautiful it was and is.
