Arlene's Story
Hi there Wheatley '65! This is very strange....as in 46 years strange. Believe it or not, absolutely couldn't find a pix of the "way I was," which I think is a blessing.
Many of you will probably remember my mom, Marilyn Radovsky, who owned Caramar Travel on Willis Ave for years and years. Sorry to report that she passed away in March, 2010 at the age of 84. My sister, Martha '69) and I were able to have a final bday for her just before she died here in California to where she had moved to be near me and the greatgranchildren.
I have 2 sons, Peter (40) & Jeremy (33) and they in turn have blessed me with 3 grandchildren; Skyler (10), Jake (39 months) & Tyler (20 months). My sons are doing very well, but unfortunately as part of their upward mobility, no longer live anywhere near me lol! Peter lives in Muskat, Oman & Jeremy lives in Suf...Expand for more

My husband's name was Tim and we married in '69. He was an admiralty attorney. Unfortunately, he passed away in 1999 after 31 years of marriage at the age of 52 and have been widowed since then.
I have worked in the recovery/rehab field here in SoCal for the past 8 years. This was a natural segue for me in that I got sober 9 years ago.
Am currently facing a hip replacement next week (fell on the job just 2 weeks before my mom died) and am praying that this surgery returns my life to me. Its been an extremely arduous 19 months including 3 prior surgeries. Now, I sound like an old kvetch lol!
