Arlene's Story
Life
My Spouse
We met in a course at the New School for Social Research. The course was called 'Singles in New York, Where and How To Meet People'. We started dating and a few months later, November 6, 1977, we were married.
Unfortunately, on February 6, 2015, he passed away peacefully in his sleep from stage 4 bone cancer.
My Pets
we had Shauna a street tabby and Spanky, also a street cat. Shauna was very sweet one minute then turn on you the next minute because she's a female! (Just joking)! If she wanted something and didn't get her way, she could be a real b.....! She never left me alone...Expand for more
...always on my lap or bothering me when I want to relax. And the purring never stopped! Spanky was her male counterpart. But they were two great cats in their own way and I love them both. We also had two cats from the same litter, Sparky and Tiger who we adopted in early 1982. They were two brothers and were sweeter than our other two cats.
My Job
Retired from working from the state of NY on 3/31/06 and loving every minute of it!
Workplace
The very first job I had was at a label company called Meyer Label. The company made labels to put in clothing for sleep away camp, college and the military.
