Arlene's Story
Life
At 35 years of age, I have been happily married for 7 years. Our wedding was actually on the show "A Wedding Story" on TV, which was pretty exciting. My husband, John and I own a home in Old Lyme, and we have two children. Our daughters are 3 and 5 years old. I have been working as an elementary art teacher in New London for 11 years. I love my job, and the staff I work with is out of this world. I have a small art studio on our property, where I can do my own artwork, when I can squeeze it in, since my children are at quite a demanding age. I enjoy camping during the s...Expand for more
ummer months with my family. It's nice having the summers free to do lots of outings with the kids. I am very involved in my church, and my extended faith family. All in all, I have been very blessed, and I have no complaints.
School
I went to The Swain School Of Design in New Bedford MA and got my BFA in design. Two years later, I went back to school for two years to get my teaching certification from Central CT State University. During that time, I took one semester to study abroad in England, which gave me a lot of time to travel by Eurorail. It was a great experience.
