College, Med School, then Residency program in California led me to Huntington Beach,CA. Private Practice and then the Army National Guard from 1987-2007 kept me very busy and all ways learning something new . Honorable discharge after twenty years of service,two wars, two earthquakes, one riot, two combat tours of duty the last one Med Evac Flight Surgeon for Balad Airbase,Iraq and all points South in 2006. Lost my battle buddy COL Paul Kelly. Shot down 1/26/2007 and lost my friend and pilot CW4 Arthur Laguna the next few days. I flew American flags on my rescue missions realizing that someday these flags will have extra special meaning. I have been too depressed to do anything in the last three years except pour myself into patient care and keeping impossible hours.
