Private Practice and then the Army National Guard from 1987-2007 kept me very busy and all ways learning something new . Honorable discharge after twenty years of service, two wars, two earthquakes, one riot, two combat tours of duty the last one Med Evac Flight Surgeon for Balad Airbase,Iraq and all points South in 2006. Lost my battle buddy COL Paul Kelly. Shot down 1/26/2007 and lost my friend and pilot CW4 Arthur Laguna the next few days. certain these heroes did not die in vain. The hard work we did paid off from what I see of Iraq now.We made a positive effect by opening hospitals and medical services to peoples who had received none for decades.
. I practice Primary Care Sports Medicine and serve as Team Physician for Huntington Beach H.S. and Golden West College now. My practice is Beach Physicians Medical Group, Inc. here in Huntington Beach,CA. My partner is Bassil Aish,M.D who also moonlights as the Sports Science and Fight Science Sports Medicine Physician on ESPN besides three USA Olympic teams, he still finds time to write text books on osteoporosis with his still ongoing studies with his NIH grant. Keeping the mind engaged and sharp with ever more challenging tasks is the only medicine that I need. All friends from my past are still my friends. May we all live in peace.
