Art's Story
After School, bounced around different jobs, Landed a job at the Middletown Phyc Center, Luckily that helped me later on in NYS Corrections, the time counted towards retirement. Then I had a pizza parlor in Otisville, NY for a few years, then 3 years in the Army, Then after bouncing around a few jobs, I went into Corrections and have about 25+ years in. 3 boys and my little guy is 18 and my oldest Art Jr.(31)is an engineer in Manhattan and very good guy, my middle son (Mike)followed his dad and is a NYS Corrections Officer. I also have a fantastic Grand Daughter, now 9 yrs old. Oh yea, Divorced 13 years and will be getting married in 1/9/10 to a wonderful girl.
Well Now have 30 years in corrections and looking to retire next year. I'm happy all is good. Married now 3 years happily. Have about 4 hot rods that my son Mike keeps running, Still play & love guitar. Don't run into anybody from the school days, I hope everyone is doing good & happy with the way there lives turned out. It's strange getting older and seeing...Expand for more
young people with there lives in front of them, They are so smart therse days and really good young people. I hope that all their dreams come true.. Man, I'm sounding like an old cogger, now 57 looking at 58 in a few months. Wow, it went by so fast, Those few years in school were just a blip in the big picture. Man, I am getting all serious and stuff, I also wonder if anybody really reads this stuff. If you do, great, and I hope you are doing as good as I feel I am. Thank you Art (Ole' cogger) Alzamora now Retired in 2013. I'm now 60 in 12/2015.
* Well now 66 & retired 8 years - 4/22 - couple medical issues kicked in, dealt with them - kind of just stayed home for the last 3 years like everyone has during Covid. Bought property in Milford, Pa. - thinking of building new house & moving in the next few years. My Dad passed away a few years ago Alzheimer’s. My mom in an senior apartment in Middletown, NY. All the kids are now grown - now some grandkids. Now have 2 Golden Doodles during lock down, we love them like our babies.
