Where does one start in these things? First, I should say that I think it is pathetic of this Classmate website to let you know you have persons who sign "your" guest book, but then only reveal them if you pay their fee. These internet suck you in scams annoy me. Also, the fact they then share your email address with every spammer known to mankind. Annoyance! But only for a moment. I move on to what doesn't annoy me quickly...
Life after PHS...SOC (as it was then) for 5 years; graduated as a RN in '76. A lot of dinking around with what I thought I wanted to be and do. And a lot of drinking around, too. I guess it boils down to the fact that I didn't choose to be a RN, per se, but it chose me by default as I didn't know what else to do after changing my major 3 times. ? The real question is, what the heck do I know now? Well, had I known back then, I wouldn't have spent 20 years wiping peoples' butts and cleaning up their puke. Ha Ha. More on another day. Lunch is ready, I am told. C'mon, lunch is ready! Now. OK, man...I'm coming! I'm coming!
Ahem...Where was I? Where am I? Why am I?
After earning the nursing degree and becoming a registered nurse, I moved to Bend and worked for 5 years at St. Charles Medical Center. I learned to ski, and had a blast skiing before work on Mt. Bachelor. I had a little more stamina then...skiing from 9-1 then working from 3-11. Ah the life of a single kid in a ski town. It was grand. I loved living in the country, running, hiking, riding my bicycle, being with friends. It was there that I met my (now ex-) wife Marilyn.
