Art's Story
Life
I left USC in 2002 after 28 years in Public Safety. I have now began a career in nursing. I have two beautiful daughters, one in theatre and one in special education.
Hobbies: I have sung in a choir since I was 7 years old, still love it or I would still be doing it. I love being outside especially in the mountains.
Goals/aspirations: I'm a young 60 and still love being active and being in healthcare. I get a lot from watching the transformation of people as they realize you're really there to help them through a difficult time and you actually give a damn. Sadly for some they don't get that feeling very often.
What makes me Unique? How many folks do you know who retired from being a cop and went into Healthcare. As for giving back, I have been involved with Peace Over Violence since the early 80's. Politically I am clearly on the liberal side, but my personality tends to be more conservativ...Expand for more

Taste in music: OK, here we may have a problem but notice my musical taste vary. Johnny Cash, Tony Bennett, Julie London, Nat King Cole, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Eric Clapton, Josh Groban, Sarah Brightman, Sarah Mclachlan, Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, Il Divo, and if you remember back far enough Mario Lanza. But then I am half Italian. My music taste has changed over the years, lately I'm a sucker for a good love song, my favorite is by Tony Bennett singing, "the Shadow of Her Smile". While in Viet Nam I was injured and for a short while both blind and deaf. I was off course glad to regain my eyesight, but when I could hear again... I cried hard, for the first time since being a kid. To this day, next to my children, music has been one my strongest connections to life. If I'm sad it cheers me, if I'm lonely it keeps me company, I could go on but you get the idea.
