Art's Story
For those of you who might remember me, I attended Nogales for only one year before transferring to another high school. At the age of 16, I lost my hearing as a result of spinal meningitis. I experienced some pretty rocky years after that but eventually made some right decisions and came out just fine. My wife and I have one son who is a state law enforcement officer. egree from the University of Texas at Austin. I retired from state employment 8 years ago as a rehabilitation counselor and now have a position with a federal agency (also as a rehab counselor) with disabled veterans. It's kind of strange but although I attended Nogales for only one year and although I've been gone from California for so long, I still have fond memories of those times, those years I lived in La Puente, and of the many friends I had. I hope to be able to find some of you.
