Art's Story

1967 was a great year to graduate high school. The summer of love it was called and I'm sure we all have many memories, hopefully mostly good. I had planned to join the Seals but didn't pass the physical. I got a motorcycle and proceeded to have more fun than I could have ever imagined. I had a job for a while that provided help for the Navy and did some work on Ships at the Navy Yard. I went to College and became a Dental Technician making crowns Bridges and Dentures until a motorcycle accident with a bus put me out of the business. After recovering I went back to school studying Art, Photography and Music Composition. I almost graduated with honors but the last year I fooled around and fell in.....! Left college and worked in the field converting classified nitrate photos from the military archives to a less flammable medium, then started a photography business freelancing throughout Md and D.C., and started teaching for continuing education on the side. I started teaching at P.G.C.C. in the early 80's where I met my future wife, OK so she was my student but even though she wa...Expand for more
s a bit younger, it was OK . We worked together doing equestrian photography up to and awhile after our son was born. We had him riding when he was about 5. I got into kayaking after we moved to West Virginia and had some real hair raising adventures which I'm told I was lucky to live through, just ask my friend Mike Mendelsohn whom I nearly drowned along with myself when we decided to kayak down the Shenandoah during a flood, oops. I had a couple more near fatal adventures on the river before I settled down to placid rivers and scenic byways. I currently produce Photographic Art using a technique I created called Dynamic Inter-dimensionality. Some examples are shown at photos on this site and also at myspace dot com forward slash harold_arthur_imagery, and I just put together visionstoryarts.com. I still teach for continuing ed. here in West VA. and in Leesburg Va. I do a lot of hiking in the mountains around our home and would be happy to take any adventurous interested old or new friends on a kayaking or photography trip, I promise not to let you drown or fall off a mountain.
