s of "Friends". One of Arthur's favorite quotes is:"Life is like a roller coaster. For all the fun and thrills, there are also twists and turns, but you still spend most of your time waiting in line. Work like you don't need the money. Love like you've never been hurt. And dance like nobody's watching! Friends are like butt cheeks. Crap might separate them, but they always come back together. Life may not be the party we expected, but as long as we're here we may as well dance.". More about Arthur:"I do my best to try to find enjoyment in everything. I listed my hometown as Sierra Madre because that's where we lived when I was born. My true hometown is Venice, CA. Venice isn't just a place; it's also a state of mind.".

What a depressing book! Certainly very well written, but very depressing. People with father issues can probably relate. It did make me reflect on my relationship with my own father, gone for close to 40 years. He was a
