Arturo's Story
Life
Let's see... So much has happened since I left Centereach back in '85. Moved to St. Thomas in '85, went to live in Vieques in '86 and left for the main island in '87. Moved back to the states and settled in Arlington, TX in '88 and then to SA during the summer of '90. Signed up for the Army Reserves in '92. Left for Basic in August '93, came back to SA in March '94.. Move out on my own two months later. Got orders for SC in '95 and got married in '97 (and not to the one you all are thinking about either)and then divorced in '03 (shortly after I got back from the land of the big sandbox). Went active duty in '98 (finally) and I went back to TX (Ft. Hood that is... 4ID....Force XXI....) Now I am in GA (Ft. Stewart, Home of the "Rock of the Marne" 3rd Infantry Division). Sorry that I didn't make the high school reunion, but you see there was this thing called Operation Iraqi Freedom that had priority over everything and everyone else. 'm a recruiter in Temple, TX. Oh! BTW, for those of you that are looking at this from the Centereach HS listing... I'm Johnny (class of '83) and Ricky's (class of 87 if we didn't move to St. Thomas, USVI) kid brother.
School
Was in the Computer Club in 9th grade (Baliey Junior High in Arlington) and in 11th and 12th(Madison High), Spainsh Club all 4 years of high school (one at Baliey and the other 3 at Madison), cross country team at Baliey, JROTC Orienteering Team, PT team, and also won Honor Company for 3 straight years (only one to have done that to date). Not much really to say that will be less than 4000 characters. :-P
Military
First joined the Army Reserves in November of 1992. Went to basic at Fort Knox, KY in Aug of 93, left there for AIT in Nov of the same year, came home, left TX for another unit in 95, reenlisted for active duty in 98 and been active ever since. My unit was the lead unit into Iraq... no friendly forces on our flank and ahead... everyone behind us.... Currently a recruiter. That should pretty much say it all there (the recruiter part that is)
