Arturo's Story
I came to Houston,Texas in September of 1976. I worked very hard for 18 years as a mechanic specializing in Cadillacs and general motors cars got married and had 3 wonderful sons and I got divorced in 1998. and I worked 4 years on 18 wheelers and my last 4 years of my mechanical career I worked on Corvettes all areas. ,All this time I suffered from low back pain and I changed careers and did maintenance for Bally Total Fitness for 10 years and my last 4 years of the 10 years I did upholstery for them I had 2 surgeries...Expand for more
in 10 years span 1 low back fusion and 1 neck fusion I found a very good woman and dated for 5 years and we got married the last 3, I am very happy with her, Since the pandemic was a bad year for me I had quad heart by-pass in August of 2020 and 2 days before my surgery my dad passed away. I still do upholstery on gym equipment when it comes around .I was forced in to disability in 2010 and now I am retired. I am a grandfather of 4 grandchildren 3 girls and 1 boy all wonderful and now I am a great grandfather of 2 boys.
