Audra's Story
I am finishing my 8th year of teaching (took some time off for my kids and my masters) and just finished my administrative internship (phew!). My personal philosophy - 'live every day of your life' (Swift). I aim to be finished with my dissertation this time next year - I'm doing an adaptive study on motivators via listening. My latest favorite joke is: "Don't eat trail mix on a hike or you will get lost."
My most recent proud moment was creating consistent private times for my kids: "girls night out" consists of the library, the craft store (my Dad used to call it the 'crap store'), and hot chocol...Expand for more
ates, - hanging out with my son is an extended naptime with songs and stories. Just checked out Dr. Zhivago for a first time read and The Things They Carried. I've lived in Oregon, Texas, Wyoming, California, and now Vegas. I met my husband at a movie theatre by telling him I thought he was cute... if he hadn't been a deputy sheriff, I might have been worried. We've known each other for 8 and been married for 5 and he is probably the best person I have ever met - hands down. Glad I followed my gut on that one, because it turns out that whole 'live life' quote really works. :) I highly recommend it.
