August Ric's Story
Life
Tough thing to do in 4000 or less. I studied in the field I enjoyed. I now use it for technical sales solutions. I like sales alot. I am definitely a people person. I am very thankful for my wife and kids (probably not enough though). I enjoy being Dad. I write more poetry now than I did in school. I love it. I also like playing sandlot volleyball more than soccer now. My favorite saying is, "It is what it is." Covey taught me that we can only control ourselves if we want our sphere of influence to grow. My favorite author is Terry Goodkind. I love reading spiritual books (EM Bounds is my favorite here). I appreciate life and the simple things now more than in the past.
I just remarried and spent a week in England. I am now working with more responsibility as a DSM (Distribution Sales Manager) for Lambda Americas.
School
Highschool was a fun and yet stressful time. I really thinks it is one of the hardest parts of life. Everyone wants to be cool and fit in. College was never like that. I think at times I hated HS because I felt I never could be myself. People make fun of you and try to pick fights. I enjoyed my teachers and close friends. Dating could be hell. I don't have alot of fond memories here like I did in college.
College

where I like to write. I lived in the Animal House of Dorms at Purdue (Cary Quad). We were known for the nude olympics (held on the coldest day of the year), pratical jokes, water wars and sleding on Slater Hill. I have some of the best memories from here. I remember the door slam day. That was when our whole units slammed their doors at the same time. It sounded like a bomb went off. Our poor dorm counselor thought one had. Then, when we tried it again, we let only one of our dorm mates slam the door. We pointed him out to the counselor after he slammed the door. I was quite the pratical joker my first 2 years. I had lots of friends that I still stay in touch with.
Workplace
This is a tough one. I went to Purdue University.

5. 3/01 to 3/03 Benning Power Electronics - Regional
