Aurora's Story

Life Worked as Secretary for City Clerk at San Rafael, Ca. Moved to Reno, Nv. Secretary to Public Works Director and Traffic Engr. Retired in 1976. Moved to home in Graeagle, Ca. Numerous employment for a change of pace: I was a waitress at the local Greagle Restaurant, also was a teacher's aide for the Portola School District as a teacher for a cerebal palsy youngster from kindergarten through 4th grade. hospital for long term patients for their entertainment; I trained a seeing eye dog for 18 months, (a difficult task to say the least having to relinquish the dog after raising it as a puppy at 8 weeks old to 18 months) I presently am a Sr. Companion to 3 seniors who are house bound. I recently received an award "Women Helping Women" from the Soroptimist International of Portola and will be recommended for the region to be held in Reno, Nv. Sadly I was widowed in 1988. Have 2 children-- boy 59; girl 54. A grandaughter and grandson who are both in college
