Austin Stoudenmire:

CLASS OF 1966
Prattville, AL
Williamsburg, VA

Austin's Story

i go jogging to relax, but only when it's hot (or at least very warm) i don't think i did anything wild in school. even skipping class to shovel coal with billy wasn't wild nor hanging his radio from the pole by the coal pile to add a little music. nor was hiding the radio inside the coal pile after r.g. got upset about it. i have lived a little of everywhere. starting with prattville, then to st george ut, vietnam (i guess that goes under places i've lived -- we did have an apartment), victorville ca, hampton va, lompoc ca for a few months, great falls mt, back to hampton va, denton tx for a couple of years, then back to hampton va. that doesn't count three-six month tdys to various places like princess alberta ca, varner ark, milford ut, denver co i like to watch figure skating and gymnastics. i don't watch much in the way of sports other than taking in a piece of an alabama or auburn game now and then never lived in a dorm, unless you count the one night i lived in a dorm at livingston. unfortunately, getting admitted as a new student rather than a transfer went so easy that i thought i'd try to get my previous credits transferred. somehow i guess i figured they would be a little blind and not realize that hav...Expand for more
ing credits to transfer would mean that i shouldn't be classified as a new student. oh well, i was enrolled for one day at least. My current age is 61. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be long gone. I was so completely wrong (sort of). when i grow up (if i ever do) i want to be a neuroscientist. i've got about a year to go (to get the education for a neuroscientist -- longer to grow up) Still dress like you did 10 (or 20) years ago? Talk style. Hmmm. I didn't dress with style 20 years ago or 10 years ago. Still don't In 10 years, I hope to be the neuroscientist i mentioned a couple of paras back. I'm going to get there by finishing my degree. the only trophy i ever got was class king in the fourth grade halloween contest (something to do with collecting donations). donna thompson was queen. oh donna, where are you? What's the weirdest job you ever had? no weird jobs, although some interesting ones. crew dog sitting under the ground waiting to launch missiles, working at president clinton's national y2k information center, and working for an intelligence agency My first job was at continental gin, where I got paid 0.60/hr to bend metal. What I remember most about it is that it was interesting.
