My favorite teachers were Teri Wilson (language arts) and Joyce Edwards (chorus). Now that I work in the county, I still keep in touch with them. I've actually had the chance to run into both of them in the last few years on several occasions. I'll never forget Mrs. Wilson telling us about making MEAD while doing a study of Brit Lit. ed up a music stand and began banging it on a chair to get everyone's attention. I often think of that when my classes get too chatty. I think of her saying to me, "Autumn, if you don't stop talking, I'm going to pull that tongue right out of your mouth." I kept talking, and she never pulled my tongue out. Now I can talk as much as I want because I am the teacher! I have told lots of my students that story though!
