On-Leash Training Programs
Happy Hounds Dog Obedience Training
The following on leash training programs are designed to teach dogs and owners at different levels. In order for the training program to be successful, it is imperative for owners to work at home to change patterns and behaviors as instructed. Your willingness to incorporate obedience commands into everyday life is crucial for success. A properly sized training collar and a standard leather leash is included in your package. Each lesson is approximately one hour in length. The following is a breakdown of what each training program may offer:
Individual Lesson $65 - This program is designed to give you basic on leash control. Your dog will be taught the following on leash commands: Heel with an Automatic Sit and Sit. Upon completion of this lesson your dog will be able to walk on a leash without pulling and be able to sit patiently on your left side.
3 Lessons at $180 - This program is designed to give you basic on leash control and help open lines of communication between you and your dog. Your dog will be taught the following on leash commands: Heel with an Automatic Sit, Sit at your side, Down at your side, and Stay. Upon completion of this program your dog will be able to walk on a leash, sit, and lay down patiently at your left side.

Upon completion of this program your dog will be able to perform the commands mentioned above.
10 Lessons at $500 - This program is designed to give you on leash control, effective communication, and verbal and hand signal commands. Your dog will be taught the following on leash commands: Heel with an Automatic Sit, Sit and Down at the side, Sit and Down from the Front, Sit and Down in Motion, Come, and Stay. Upon completion of this program your dog will be able to perform the above mentioned.
During your lessons, you will be taught proper leash handling techniques and correct use of each command. There will be emphasis on diversifying your dogâs commands, working around distractions, and advice on handling unwanted behaviors. Upon completion of these commands you may be eligible to participate in off-leash training.
Training program requirements: All dogs are required to be in good health and must have the Rabies vaccination. The owner must provide current vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian. Dogs without a vaccination record or are overdue on vaccinations will not be accepted for training. All payments are due at the beginning of the first lesson.
