Gary's Story
Graduated FWHS in 67. Columbia Christian College in Portland for a year and a half. Enlisted in the Air Force for a planned 4 year stint. The 4 years stretched to 25. I was a chinese mandarin linguist for the first 12 1/2 years, then went to school to complete a bachelors and was commissioned an officer in signals intelligence. Served in Calif, TX, WA, FL, VA, Japan, Korea, Taiwan. Traveled to The Philippines, Okinaw, AK, HI, Germany, England and a couple other places not worth mentioning. was bought out by SGI with whom I had a difference of opinion and resigned. Worked for a couple of software companies, then took a position with Computer Sciences in Moorestown NJ then Lockheed Martin. First worked 9 years in the Advanced Technology Labs in NJ, then in the Defense Group in Littleton, CO. Spent a few years with smaller companies and have now moved to TX where I work for Rockwell Collins. I was married to Chong in November 1972. We have 2 grown boys and 3 grand daughters. The oldest boy lives in Littleton, CO. The youngest, in San Antonio, TX.
