B. J.'s Story
Does anybody really care about what I've been up to the past 35+ years? Here goes:
Graduated from TCC in '75 (AAS Dean's List whoop-de-doo). Worked for Burlington Northern Railroad (to pay for TCC) then worked for University of Puget Sound, Developement office, next Pack Forest near Eatonville (part of UW School of Forestry) - 1st as receptionist/bookkeeper then conference coordinator - 8 years total; then Intermountain Building Materials for 13 years until they sold - I worked for 15 more years for the new owners. Got married in 1981, had one child - sadly we divorced after 8 years. He passed away when our daughter was only 13. Never re-married - have doubts there are any GOOD guys left that aren't already taken in my age group! Took a few classes at PLU several years ago. i. Met some of my dearest friends at TCC. Enjoy traveling: daughter & I went on cruise to the Caribbean (St. Thomas, St. John, San Juan, etc.). WE FLEW back to St. Thomas/St. John (much better than the cruise) for a longer visit - it was so gorgeous there. Great scuba diving! My daughter just turned 28 in January - she got married in May last year in Lincoln City, OR. Hope they don't wait too long to have kids; I'm finally ready to be a grandma. I have the sweetest cat, Toby, & two Australian Shepherd/Border Collies who are way too smart to train other than the basic commands. They love to chase & herd EVERYTHING obviously. They're such great companions. After a long walk with the dogs, I enjoy playing outside with them. I rent 10 acres above Silver Lake (west of Eatonville) & have a fantastic view of Mt. Rainier & the lake - it is so peaceful. Hope to read some of your stories soon.
