Barb's Story
Life
I left Windsor soon after graduating high school. I had hoped to have a post secondary education, but instead chose to follow my (at the time) hockey-playing boyfriend. I ended up marrying him only to divorce him 11 years later. We have two sons, aged 15 and 19.
I have been in a common-law relationship now for seven years. He is a much better partner and it sure is nice not to move around anymore.

o me. Since my divorce, I am proud to say that I have made that happen.
Now, I am in a common law relationship-- seven years long. John is a much more compatible person and a great complement to my life.
Together we have four boys. His boys are 13 and 18. Surprisingly, they get along very well together.

Workplace
I am still in the retail industry. I am managing a bookstore for Indigo Books & Music, here in Bedford, Nova Scotia.
