Barb's Story

I left Finney in 11th grade.. that was a year like no other. I then went to night school at Denby and received my diploma from Finney ~ moved from Detroit to live in LA California ~ married in 1974 in Michigan then moved to Germany in 1983 ~ Left Europe, moved to Kentucky and have recently moved to Tennessee. I have one son whom I am very proud of (I am now a granny of a beautiful baby girl!) Thank you to all those who have touched my life in some way and have contributed to making me the person I am today. My best friend Teri Pearce passed away a few years ago and we were friends for over 40 years. It's not easy to stay in touch with someone for that long a time but we did and I miss her terribly. It has been so exciting to meet up with some of my classmates who were a big part of my younger years and I hope we can stay in touch. e American Red Cross. I love to ride my motorcycle, ski, scuba dive, meet people and just have fun. I have been lucky to find a great man to share all travel adventures & experiences with for the past 35 years, as well as have alot of fun along the way. I remember my generation as being a very independent one ~ there were alot of kids who roamed the streets of Detroit (when they were safe to roam) (myself included) and we were good kids....our parents were hard-working and did the best they could to give us all they could. We turned out pretty darn good even after we dealt with the times.... I wouldn't trade my years growing up in Detroit for anything...I think we had the easiest of times....and we are pretty lucky for them :) Just remember me as someone who loved to talk, laugh and have fun!
