01/23/08 Well I've celebrated my 60th birthday and still going strong. In April 2007 we moved to Las Vegas, NV - Summerlin. The housing market is great if you're buying. It's less costly to live here than in Los Angeles but I miss the weather. Las Vegas in the winter is almost as cold as Chicago. Yesterday it was 32 degrees when I took my granddaughter to school. Oh yes, I'm now taking care of my 15 year old granddaughter, Heather. I came here to retire...although I still work for the company I worked for in Los Angeles; I get to work from my home office....now I'm a "parent" of a teenage girl. I'm still doing technical recruiting and liking it less, but the money is good and it's fairly easy for me to do with not a lot of stress. My health is good. I joined Weight Watchers in November because I really put on some weight in the last 16 years, so I need to lose about 40-50 lbs. It's coming off slowly. It's so hard to give up my candy. I'm still riding my Harley (see photo), however, summer riding in Las Vegas is OUT! It gets to 120 degrees and the engine on my Harley is air cooled. I don't want to be stranded in traffic since we're not allowed to split lanes like in California. I'm no longer a Religious Science Practitioner, however, I still follow the teachings and practice.
