Barbara's Story
My family left Shilo in 1976. My dad was posted back to his home town Victoria, BC. I missed all my friends and decided to move back in 78. I moved to Brandon and rented a place with my friend Gail Burke. I only stayed in Brandon for 6 mths and moved back to Victoria, I missed my family, the ocean and the mountains. I worked at a few jobs went to College and married my first husband. We moved to Edmonton in 82 and I had my first daughter in 84 than 2 yrs later had my second daughter. My marriage did not last and I moved back to Victoria, 5 yrs later I met my second husband and in 91 we moved to Terrace, BC where ...Expand for more
in 93 I had my third daughter. Shortly after in 94 we moved back to Victoria. Unfortunately my marriage ended in divorce in 99. I had been working as a health care giver for about 1yr when I was laid off. Went back to College and after that worked for Optometrists and worked in the Optical Lab. Changed careers a few yrs later and worked in group homes with mentally challenged adults. From there went back to College and got my RCA certificate worked in home care and also facilities.. After a few yrs of that got tired of the politics and now run my own cleaning company. So that is what has been going on in my life.
