Barbara's Story
After graduation I went to Kentucky to college majoring in pre-med and getting a BS in Medical Technology. I met L.W. in college and we married in 1965 after he graduated. We lived in Kentucky until moving to Saint Augustine in 2005. I've worked as a Clinical Lab Scientist in various hospital labs full-time since 1967 and I'm still at it (I may be the oldest living Med Tech). It's been an interesting and challenging career. We have two children and 3 grandchildren. Our son ,who is the father of our grandkids, is a career Army guy who has had several different MOS's including Field Medic, Army Nurse, Interrogator and Special Forces Intelligence Service NCO. Florida State University with a BS in Marketing and Public Relations and then got her MBA from Indiana University. She is working in Chicago and enjoying the single life until "Mr. Right" comes along. We enjoy spending time with our kids and grandchildren with trips to Colorado where Travis is stationed or to Chicago to visit Julie; however, they also all like to come to our home and do all the fun things that we can do here in the Sunshine State. We love to travel and have several destinations checked off our "bucket list". We also enjoy regular visits from old friends and relatives from Kentucky and new friends too. It was fun getting back in touch with some high school friends at the reunion. I hope those of you who remember me will keep in touch.
