My Spouse
I met Tommy (my husband) right after the Mondale for President campaign. I had worked in the campaign headquarters here in DC while he worked in field offices all around the country with my then-boyfriend Jim. He's on the DC Board of Education and very active in politics, so I've been practicing my adoring-wife expression and helping with his campaigns, preferably behind the scenes.

itute, but this year I've been making a transition to free-lance writing and editing. I love reorganizing confusing reports and simplifying convoluted language, and I write articles for a few Smithsonian publications too. I hope to publish my own stories too -- especially travel writing.
My Pets
Abby, my dog, is a 12-year-old border collie and frisbee girl. I take her to Congressional Cemetery every morning to frolic among the tombstones, but she's slowing down a bit and seems to prefer the retired life on visits with my parents in Emerson.
